This is the tenth of a many step project of a self portrait of myself, using a grid system from a photograph. And here we are! This is it, ladies and gents! Finally and fully completed, The eyes have now been put in... And they totally make me look like some psychotic freak. And there's some truth to that. The story behind the eyes is that in the photo, my eyes did look rather odd, altho i did make my right eye a tad bit bigger than the photo, the left eye really was that size, and although it wasn't looking strait up, it still look rather odd. In addition, my right eye looks really glassy in the drawing, and thats just how it ended up looking, but I think it just brings out more of my personality. In reality, my right eye is a lazy eye, and i wanted to show the lazy eye, because it really expresses in insanity that is inherent in me, so I decided to take some artistic license and put it on my left eye to give that feel. The colors all seem very dark in this scan, and there's more tone on my lips now. Although I'm pretty pleased with it overall, I'm a little pissed with how there are two or three scratches on the bottom of the board that show up and really take away from the original. For the record, my hair is actually brown, with natural blond/ blond-brown bits in it, idk, when it shines it gets lighter (that makes sens, right?) and so in the flash of the camera a lot of it became blond, making it difficult to really tell where some of the hair ends and the background begins. This is the darker of the two final scans.
